We’re currently updating our website to serve you better. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Family-owned since 1952. Our operations are based on controlled production from our own peatlands and long-term experience in logistics and material handling. We supply peat products to customers in Finland and Central Europe.
The company was founded in October 1952 and initially operated in transport and earthmoving. The early decades built a strong foundation in machinery operations, logistics and large-scale material handling.
In 1983, the current generation took responsibility for the company. As operations developed, the business structure was updated and the company became a limited company in 1992.
This history continues to shape our way of working: practical expertise, careful decision-making and long-term commitment.
Tainikoski entered peat production in 1996. Over time, peat production became the company’s main business area.
We have invested in production areas, equipment and operational know-how in order to ensure consistent quality and reliable deliveries. Today, we serve customers who require peat for horticultural, energy, agricultural and environmental use.
Over the decades, the company has operated through significant economic and regulatory changes in Finland. These transitions required adaptation and responsible management.
Throughout these changes, the company has remained stable. Our operations are based on long-term planning, careful financial management and steady development rather than rapid expansion.
As a family-owned company, decision-making remains within the business. This supports continuity, accountability and clear responsibility.
Our objective is to remain a stable and profitable small family company focused on peat production and related logistics. We do not seek growth for its own sake, but aim to maintain consistent quality, reliable supply and long-term customer relationships.
